Legal Online Marriage From Anywhere in the World

We'll explain how to legally get married online according to U.S. laws.
We'll assist you with document preparation and guide you through the entire process.
Since 2021, we've helped over 200 people get married.

Now You Can Officially Get Married on Zoom

You can now legally get married on Zoom under U.S. law. Online marriage offers many advantages: you can be in different parts of the world and have different nationalities. None of these factors will prevent you from getting married. After the ceremony, you'll receive an official document from the U.S. confirming your marriage.

To submit your documents, you'll need:

  • Valid international passports for the future spouses
  • One witness from each side (and their valid international passports)
  • Selfie photos of the future spouses
  • Paid fees for marriage registration

The marriage is legally conducted in Utah, USA. The only requirement is that you must be of legal age (18+), and comply with U.S. marriage laws, which are quite lenient if you haven't been married before.

Zoom is a free online calling software, similar to Skype or WhatsApp video calls. You can download it here: https://zoom.us/

How It Works

Here's what to expect:

  • Preparation and submission of documents, fee payment
  • The online marriage ceremony itself via Zoom
  • If needed, ordering a paper marriage certificate with an apostille (sent by mail)

After the ceremony, documents will be mailed to the specified address, and an apostille can be added if required. The original certificate with an apostille is recognized in most countries and can be used for visa applications or relocation.

Who the Utah Marriage Is For

This marriage is ideal if you:

  • Want to get married without the hassle of paperwork
  • Prefer a ceremony without visiting local government offices
  • Are in different countries
  • Wish to get married at home or in another pleasant place with family

A marriage conducted in Utah is also suitable if you plan to use the marriage certificate in:

  • The USA, UK, Argentina, Israel, Switzerland, Ukraine, China, Russia, Philippines
  • European Union countries (Netherlands, France, Czech Republic, Hungary, Spain, and others)
  • Other countries that are members of the Hague Convention (for mutual recognition of documents)

Who the Utah Marriage Is Not For

An online marriage conducted in Utah is not suitable if you plan to use the marriage certificate in a country that:

  • Is not part of the 1961 Hague Apostille Convention (e.g., Algeria)
  • Does not recognize marriages conducted without the physical presence of both spouses (e.g., Canada, Germany)

If you plan to use the marriage certificate in these countries, we recommend consulting organizations or consulates of the countries where you intend to use the Utah marriage certificate.

More Details on the Paper Certificate Price

The price is made up of the cost of each copy of the document (you can order multiple copies), the ordering fee, and the shipping cost.

Cost per copy:

  • Marriage certificate with apostille: $30 per copy
  • Marriage certificate (without apostille): $10 (we don't recommend this option since official agencies usually require an apostille)

Ordering fee: A $15 fee is charged per order, regardless of the number of copies.

Mail delivery cost:

  • Worldwide delivery: from $50 depending on the destination country
  • Standard U.S. delivery: free to $20 depending on urgency

About the Timeline

Submitting Documents and Scheduling the Ceremony

Generally, filling out the application takes about half an hour. You can then book any available time slot for the ceremony itself. Usually, free slots are available within two weeks, sometimes even the next day (if it's not a holiday in the U.S.).

The Ceremony

The ceremony is held via Zoom and lasts around half an hour at the time of your choice (during office hours in Utah, which means late evening in Moscow).

Receiving Paper Certificates by Mail

This is the longest step. Document processing at the office is quite quick (a few days), and getting an apostille takes about two weeks. Delivery to Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus takes up to two months, while other countries take between two weeks and a month.

About the Documents

If you've never been married before, or your previous marriage ended more than two months ago, you will only need two valid international passports and two selfie photos. Certificates from the civil registry office, birth certificates, apostilles, or notarized statements on marriage eligibility are not required.

  • Two partners' international passports
  • Two selfie photos

You will also need two witnesses. They should be adults and know you well enough to confirm at the ceremony that you are genuinely and willingly getting married.

  • One witness from each side

* If your previous marriage ended less than two months ago, you won't be able to get married online.
